What is the TV show Top Gear about?

Top Gear originally aired in 1977 as a straightforward magazine programme featuring a wide range of presenters, a couple of which went on to present the Channel 5 programme 'Fifth Gear'. During 2002 Top Gear was revamped to be located in a studio whilst concentrating more on the program's unique humour and the personalities of presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. One of the most popular aspects of the show is the unconventional tests they perform on the vehicles, like the famous Top Gear review of the Toyota Hilux. Tests included smashing the car into a tree and repeatedly hitting it with a wrecking ball. Top Gear is a must see for any real motoring fan.
