American Graffiti was written and directed by George Lucas featuring actors such as Ron Howard and Richard Dreyfuss. Initially released in 1973 the film was instantly met with positive reviews from the public and critics alike.
What happens in The Fast and the Furious?
Exhilarating and fast paced, The Fast and the Furious has a multi-layer car racing story as its focus. The main actor is blonde heart throb Paul Walker and the film looks at the dark underbelly of the automotive import market in Asia. Slick cop Brian O'Connor is asked to track down a selection of robbers, who use modified cars to steal goods, by becoming friends with a street racing gang. He gets involved in a desert street racing event in a 1970 Dodge Charger and ends up racing ex-convict Dom Toretto. In the final sequence Dom injures himself and Brian lets him run away instead of taking him to the police station for his crimes due to their budding friendship. The movie fulfils its aim to provide spectacular scene shots and entertainment.
The Italian Job - a summary

Film fans with a bit of an interest in cars and timeless movies will know about The Italian Job. The Brit classic has amassed a multitude of fans and contemporary follow ups of the picture, initially released in the late 1960s, have since been launched starring superb actors like Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg. The main role is played by Michael Caine. His character calls a team of his friends together to steal a package of gold bars from Torino, Italy with assistance from a trio of Mini Coopers, a bus and two Jaguars. What ensues is a series of car chases through the highways, rooftops, rivers, sewers and city streets. The team are successful in robbing the authorities of their gold but their bus driver loses control and their vehicle is left teetering over the edge of a cliff - the film comes to an end as the men work out how to save themselves and their loot.
